Avalon aims to meet unmet needs and to offer a helping hand to people who have been forgotten, overlooked or left behind.
We opened in 1987 at North Caulfield and were established originally as a centre of creativity and natural healing.
However now we are expanding and reaching out! For many years Avalon focused its activities at the Centre and whilst this provided an important support for all those who visited, it became apparent that it was time for Avalon to move out into the community and explore unmet needs; to make people aware that Avalon – both the Centre and the bus - is there and to give everyone the opportunity of becoming a part of Avalon.
In pursuit of this goal Avalon has taken the approach of putting no limits or restrictions on the creative ways we can help people in need. This means stepping right outside the square to embrace every challenge that comes our way.
